Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by today. It's been a blustery, wet, moody few weeks, wouldn't you say? I miss the bright sunshine and the crisp breezes of early fall; November and its dreary rain and wild winds seems to have slipped in while October ebbs into the shadowy twilight. But each season has its beauty and its pride, so in honor of the end of this October, I thought I'd share a collection of my favorite still shots from the past month (saving animal/portrait shoots for another post!), paired with my favorite October quotes. “I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” ~ L. M. Montgomery "In the entire circle of the year there are no days so delightful as those of a fine October." ~ Alexander Smith “I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkins and crisp sunburnt leaves.” ~Unknown “Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves, we have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!” ~ Humbert Wolfe" "Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go." ~ Unknown “October is the opal month of the year. It is the month of glory, of ripeness. It is the picture-month.” ~Henry Ward Beecher “It must be October, the trees are falling away and showing their true colors.” ~ Charmaine J Forde "October had tremendous possibility. The summer's oppressive heat was a distant memory, and the golden leaves promised a world full of beautiful adventures. They made me believe in miracles.” ~ Sarah Guillory Ah, Lovely October, as you usher in the season that awakens my soul, your awesome beauty compels my spirit to soar like a leaf caught in an autumn breeze and my heart to sing like a heavenly choir.” ~ Peggy Toney Horton "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." ~ Albert Camus "Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love—that makes life and nature harmonize." ~ George Eliot "Wild is the music of autumnal winds amongst the faded woods." ~ Williams Wadsworth October...I'm going to miss you.
